Luxurious body butters, massage oils and replenishing lotions.
All products are handmade from fair trade virgin shea & cocoa
butters, natural or organic cold pressed oils and pure flower waters.
Simply no chemicals, perfumes, parabens, synthetic preservatives
or sulfates (SLS/SLES)! Made from gentle nourishing ingredients
to care for your skin naturally. Not only kind to your skin, but
kind to the environment too.
Shower
& Bath Range
Natural shower gels or handmade
soap will gently cleanse your skin without stripping too much
moisture from the skin's surface. Natural
handmade soaps are not as drying as commercial soaps, because
they are made from vegetable oils and have their natural glycerine
retained and can be further enriched with moisturising oils and
butters. African
Black soap is one of the gentlest soaps there are. It is simple,
pure and extremely moisturising. African Black soap is made of only
2 ingredients - virgin shea butter & palm oil, however the liquid
version has added rose and chamomile water for additional skin soothing
benefits. If soap is not your thing, then soap
free shower or bath gels that are free from sulfates, colours,
perfumes and preservatives are a perfect alternative. Using a glucoside
based (as opposed to sulfate) detergent will not irritate even the
most sensitive skin types. Scented with pure essential oils for
additional skin & mind therapy.
Natural
& Organic Deodorants
Made with skin loving aloe vera & hemp oil and mineral salts,
Lafe's
organic roll on deodorants are also free from parabens and harmful
chemicals linked to breast cancer. They are not antiperspirants
but provide a reliable natural protection against body odour.
Natural
Body Butters, Lotions & Oils
Similarly to your face, the skin on your body should be moisturised
as surface oils are removed during a shower or a bath. If you have
normal skin type, then a light
body lotion would be enough to keep your skin supple. If you
have dryish skin though, you would need something more than a lotion.
The simplest way to keep your skin in tip-top condition is by using
a massage
oil. Any cold
pressed vegetable oil can be used for this purpose and all you
need is a few drops applied on a damp skin. You can also use
virgin coconut oil, which is actually a solid butter that will
melt quickly in your hands. It is simple but wonderfully moisturising.
Other butters can be used too - either virgin
shea butter or cocoa
butter, but these can be a little trickier as they are naturally
more solid and take longer to melt.
Handmade
body butters made in combination of shea or cocoa butter with
added cold pressed oils are not only easier to apply but are scented
with pure essential oils, giving the butters additional therapeutic
properties. The Shea
Body Butter with grapeseed, mandarin & ylang suits most
skin types and is perfect to treat neglected feet. For eczema and
skin prone to alergies, the virgin
shea butter with calendula & chamomile will soothe any irritation
and minimise skin redness. If you are used to vaseline or petroleum
jelly, you can try the natural 'care
jelly' instead, a blend of shea
butter with olive, calendula and manuka. For flaky skin &
psoriasis, the shea
& coconut body butter has been formulated to provide relief
from the irritating symptoms. If you love the smell of chocolate,
a wonderfully simple but extremely nourishing butter is the Virgin
Cocoa Butter , blended with sweet almond & peach kernel
oils so it is easy to apply. Not scented with anything else to interfere
with the natural rich chocolate scent of the cocoa butter itself
and great for babies and mums to be, too. And if you are feeling
a little stiff or have sore muscles, the shea
& comfrey balm with rosemary, eucalyptus & ginger will
not only moisturise your skin but will also warm you up and ease
the aches naturally. And if you wish to add a healthy glow to your
body while moisturising, a natural
tanning cream will give you a sun kissed look without any harfum
chemicals.
